Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning
Certificate

Employment is projected to grow faster than average for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) service technicians, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Job prospects are expected to be excellent, particularly for those with training from an accredited technical school or with formal apprenticeship training.* HVAC job duties are to install, maintain, and repair heating and air conditioning systems. You can get the vocational education and training you need at TESST College of Technology.

Program Objectives

The objective of the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Certificate program is to prepare students with the troubleshooting, repair, and safety skills needed for entry-level positions in the HVAC industry. Our curriculum uses discussions, lectures, and extensive hands-on lab experience with actual HVAC equipment. The program also offers students the ability to train on various types of equipment, tools, and instrumentation typically used in the field.

Another benefit of the program is to prepare you for the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) EPA Technician Certification Exam.†

Career Opportunities

Upon graduation, you can apply for entry-level employment with independent HVAC contractors, property management companies, and large buildings such as hospitals and hotels.

However, the School cannot guarantee a student's eligibility either to take this exam or become certified. A student's eligibility may depend on his or her work experience, completion of high school (or its equivalent), not having a criminal record, meeting other licensure or certification requirements, or the program or School itself having appropriate accreditation or licensure. Externship sites may themselves require a criminal background check or medical examination.
