Pharmacy Technician

Certificate

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, 8 of 20 occupations projected to grow the fastest are in health care.* Consequently, there is a demand for qualified pharmacy technicians to assist a licensed pharmacist in preparing medications and other health care products for patients. Technicians may also establish and maintain patient profiles, prepare insurance claim forms, and stock and take inventory of prescription and over-the-counter medications. At TESST College of Technology, we can provide the job knowledge and training you need to become a pharmacy technician.

Career Preparation

The pharmacy technician program provides the education and training needed to seek entry-level employment in retail or mail-order pharmacies as well as hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Prior to graduation, you will complete an externship where you will receive on-the-job training while you earn credits toward your certificate. To learn more, select the campus below.
